Let’s reflect, shall we?

Yesterday was my son’s 6 month birthday.  How we are already at this point is baffling to me.  Many of our days together have felt very long.  How have 6 months’ worth of them already passed?  Seems like the expression is true: The days are long but the years are short.  Well, in my case, the months have been short.

Well, so much for my personal challenge to blog every day this month.

I made it 6 consecutive days.  6 days out of 29.

But you know what? I should have known better than to set that kind of goal for myself.  I can’t think of a time that I have ever been successful at seeing goals with time or quantity expectations through to the finish line.  The 30-day sugar challenge? Tasty Tuesday #1

Before getting pregnant, I was very focused on healthy, plant-based eating.  Since becoming a mom, however, my main food groups have been sugar and caffeine.  Quick and easy are the most appealing type of foods to me now, and it doesn’t get much quicker or easier than Honey Nut Cheerios! I have always had a sweet tooth that I’m happy to indulge, but lately things have gotten ridiculously out of control.  Let’s just say donuts are still very much in the picture. Continue reading
